SF Whale Watching

A quick trip to San Francisco with my marine biology class for some whale watching. No whales sighted, but I did get some cool pictures out of it.

I wanted to test out Lightroom’s panorama merge feature. I like how this one came out.

Bay Bridge

Bay Bridge

Another pano shot, this time of the Bay Bridge with Alcatraz Island in the front.

This image felt like it needed to be a little…. aged. I think it fits well.

I’m surprised how much “aging” an image can do for the feel of it. Maybe it’s just that my usual editing style is super bright and colorful, but I really like this.

This house looks like it was new when JFK was in office, so of course I had to make this picture look as old as the house.

This and the following few images are some interesting birds I saw on the way. I’m not much of a bird guy but they looked cool.

SF and the Bay Bridge

SF and the Bay Bridge

Looking back on the city with the Bay Bridge in sight. I like bridges, not just because they make for interesting elements, but they provide leading lines that make a decent image into a great one.

Angel Island's prime real estate

I’d honestly love to live in a house like this. A few upgrades and it’d be perfect, especially with a glass enclosed patio overlooking the water.

Solitude

Solitude

This is basically the only house for a ways, and, being a steep island, there isn’t too much in the way of paved roads. I hope you have a helicopter.

On the left, SF. On the right, Marin. Inbetween? The most recognizable bridge in the U.S.

Again, bridges make some really cool images.
