Images from a recent trip to a beautiful piece of land in Modoc County
Taken on my phone, which works really well for macros. I like the texture in the spines. Just don’t touch it.
It looks pretty and I like the colors.
From left to right: California, California, Nevada, California, California.
Center mountains: Nevada. 80 miles past those mountains: Burning Man.
This was such a cool thing to see. Natural underground springs keep this land moist, almost marshy.
The channel to the right is a flood wash for a creek. Note how nothing lives there. It all gets washed out when the creek floods.
So surprised and happy to see this little guy in the desert. Hope he stays wet up there!
